For study - long stay (more than 3 months)

(1)To apply for a student visa, you should provide the following documents Once you have these documents ready, you should contact our CampusFrance Office (study@consulfrance-hongkong.org) to fix an appointment for the ’academic’ interview. In the message to be sent to CampusFrance, you may mention all the necessary details [programme studied in France, name of the school, duration, departure date, appointment taken for the visa counter through online system (see point 2 below) if already done etc…].

(2) Afterwards you may fix an appointment for the application submission at the Visa Counter through our online system.

Please note that CampusFrance appointments are taken through email and appointments for application submission is done through our online system.

ATTENTION: These two steps of appointment fixing are two different process.

On the other hand, for any queries concerning visa related matters you may contact our Switchboard at 3752 9900.

No answers shall be given by CampusFrance Office to queries regarding non-academic issues.

This interview is conducted only in the mornings and by appointment only.

Documents to be submitted:

- 2 long-stay visa forms filled (can be downloaded here or obtained at the Consulate - The form is in French, some help (in English) to fill the form is available here)
- 3 recent color ID pictures (35x45mm) on white background
- a valid passport (3 month validity) (original + 2 copies)
- Hong Kong or Macao ID card (original + 2 copies)
- previous degrees (or transcripts of academic records if the applicant has not yet graduated) (original + 2 copies)
- Letter from the applicant’s current school or university (only for exchange programs) (original + 2 copies)
- an admission letter from the French Institution (original + 2 copies)
- Letter explaining why the applicant wants to study in France (+ 1 copy). Not applicable to Exchange programme students
- Financial Guarantee :
If the applicant is self-supporting, he/she needs to provide:

— Bank Book
— or last 3 months bank statement
— orAttestation from the bank stating the applicant can afford to live in France during his/her studies

If the applicant is sponsored by his/her parents, the following documents are required:

— Financial Guarantee Form filled by the applicant’s parents. Click here for this form
— Applicant’s birth certificate
— Parent’s bank book or last 3 months bank statement (+ 1 copy of each document)

- Résumé / Curriculum Vitae (original + 1 copy) Not applicable to Exchange programme students
- Airline reservation with detailed itinerary (only one transit in another Schengen country is permitted) (+ 1 copy)
- Duly filled Medical Insurance Declaration Form. Click here for the Form (+ 1 copy)
