Visit of Mr. Bertrand Delanoë (Mayor of Paris)

A cocktail reception was held at the "Residence de France", on the 14th of November, in honour of the Mayor of Paris, Mr. Bertrand Delanoë. This event gathered representatives from both French and Hong Kong community.

During this evening, Bertrand Delanoë, expressed his joy not only to meet such a diverse and active community but also to meet Francophile Chinese people - students, businessmen and artists.

Just back from Guangdong, where he participated in the meeting of the global organization UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments), of which he is the president, the Mayor of Paris was also received by Mr. Henry Tang of HKSAR at the residence of “Chief Secretary” for an official lunch. As Mr. Bertrand Delanoë explained it, during the reception at the residence of France, this lunch has been “enjoyable and fruitful” since “the basis of a future dialogue to set up co-operations in the cultural, wine, ecological and even technological filed have been laid down.
