During the 2009 Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair, the Bordeaux Management School (BEM) inaugurated on 11th November a partnership with Hong Kong University Space to export its "Wine MBA program". This diploma was created to "train managers in the wine industry, able to manage a sector whose global environment is complex and always in movement", as Mr Philip Mc Laughlin, Head of the Wine MBA program in Bordeaux explained it. Taught in English, the Wine MBA program is composed of 6 sessions from 2 to 3 weeks, during a period of 22 months and entails 3 studies trips. The instructors, professors and professionals in the wine industry, come from the main countries which produce and drink wine : Australia, Chile, United States of America, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, etc.

" The creation of a Wine MBA program in Hong Kong, in partnership with HKU Space, confirmed our desire to export our know-how in the world. Hong Kong is expected to become a hub in Asia for the wine trade. We are happy to participate in the training of the future managers in this sector", underlined the head of the MBA program during the opening ceremony celebrating the partnership between both schools.
